Charlie Kirk - America's Best
We're down, but not out

Remember when people used to say, “never talk about religion or politics.”
Those words were still spoken around the time I was born in 1995. But not today.
No, today… today America is down.
September 10, 2025, appropriately.
Today, a thirty one year old American father and husband was assassinated in the public square of debate.
Charlie Kirk was killed because he spoke his beliefs.
George Washington once said:
“If men are to be precluded from offering their sentiments on a matter… reason is of no use to us; the freedom of speech may be taken away, and dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.”
Charlie was roughly the same age as me. He was a pioneer in the independent media emergence of my generation.
Above all else, he was a man dedicated to a most elegant practice of speech - he called for peaceful and respectful debate from the very first day he captured the public’s eye.
Cicero, the Roman orator of legend, said:
"There are two ways of contending, one by discussion, the other by force; the former belonging properly to man, the latter to beasts."
And more, James Madison said:
“The freedom of the press, as one of the great bulwarks of liberty, shall be inviolable.”
Without our ability to disagree, peacefully - we are lost.
This great experiment, as America was so long called, will have met its end. This was the first nation ever set, where neither tyrant nor king should ever reign.
It was a land of the people, by the people, for the people.
We have strayed, far from our forefathers’ plans. Not only today, but for many years… for many years we have stumbled along in dishonor. Today, we fell on our face.
“Without debate, without criticism, no Administration and no country can succeed — and no republic can survive.”
John F. Kennedy
But where there is life - there is hope.
We can improve, we can learn, we can forgive.
We can honor our ancestors, and build a better future for our children.
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
Statue of Liberty, New York City
If nothing else…
I have traveled far and wide across this planet of ours, to places most people will never tread. And while I have learned to love and understand the vastness of humanity, I have also come to appreciate my homeland in an enhanced way. The foundations my country was borne on are worth striving for with everything we have. No opinion, no matter how disgusting or evil, is justification for taking someone’s life. We fight by the ballot, by the peaceful demonstrations that grow so immense in number, they become impossible to ignore.
We must wipe our tears, rise from our despair, and move forward. We must be better. We must live in a way that honors our martyrs. We must come together.
The Stars and Stripes.
United.
Sincerely,
Jacob
P.S. If you disagree, fuck you - respectfully.
